Automated work orders in Dalux FM
When a digital agent detects that equipment needs attention, a work order is created directly in the facilities management system, notifying the operations team where they already work.

The agent identifies the need, a small API turns it into a work order, and Dalux FM handles notifications and follow-up.
Monitoring without being there
Operations staff cannot be in every plant room at once. Faults often develop when nobody is there and are only discovered on the next inspection round or when the equipment has stopped. Some deviations, such as a ventilation filter becoming clogged, trigger no alarm at all. The air handling unit simply uses progressively more energy.
Smart Campus NMBU has therefore built an integration that lets an agent report an issue in the same way a caretaker would: by creating a work order in Dalux FM, NMBU’s facilities management system.
One request, one work order
The agent sends a single HTTP request with a title, description and assignee. The integration, an Azure Function, adds the appropriate template, team and deadline, then creates the work order through the Dalux API. The rules governing work orders are therefore kept in one place, regardless of how many agents are connected.
The work order becomes an ordinary task in Dalux FM. It is assigned to the operations team or a supplier, the assignee receives an email and sees it in their task list, and management sees it in the same reports as everything else. Nobody has to read an alarm in one place and register a task somewhere else.
