A ventilation system needs to be understood as more than a collection of individual measurements. Outdoor temperature, heat recovery, heating and cooling coils, air flow rates, fans and operating schedules all affect one another.
From individual points to a temperature chain
The air handling assistant in SC Insight presents the signals as a connected technical process. Users can select a building and air handling units, then analyse operating hours, air flow rates, temperature, fan energy and activity outside defined working hours.
Temperatures through the heat recovery unit and coils are displayed as a chain. Specialists can investigate whether temperature changes occur in the right place, whether heat recovery is working and whether heating and cooling are working against each other.
Transparency in the analysis
When an assessment is inferred from temperature points rather than measured directly, this must be made clear. Users should be able to see which points are included and which rule has been applied. This lets SC Insight support professional judgement without treating any single data source as definitive.
